Neighborhood Challenge

Gather your neighbors and make your neighborhood shine!

Pick up trash, mow, and weed-eat overgrown areas; clean vacant lots; trim bushes and trees; plant flowers; paint; help improve a neighbor's property; or find another way to make your neighborhood stand out. Share your project with us, and the winning neighborhood will receive a block party valued up to $1,000!

Judging Criteria

100 points total

  • How significant is the visible improvement from the before photos to the after photos?

  • How many neighbors participated and worked together? Participation should be documented through photos taken throughout the challenge.

  • How much of the neighborhood was improved? This could include homes, yards, vacant lots, streets or multiple blocks.

  • How complete and impactful is the finished project? Consider the overall appearance of the area and the amount and variety of work accomplished.
